You can use a knife, a spatula, or even use an electric hand mixer! Before you open your almond butter, store the jar upside down to let the oils work their way through to the bottom. When you’re ready to open it up, give it a shake first! If you’re a big AB fan, try emptying a few jars into a large stand mixer and give it a whirl – then pour your AB back into your jars and you’ll be prepared when the hangry pains strike!

When you see oil on the top of your AB jar, you can stir it right back up with the confidence of knowing that we never add stabilizers to our Almond Butter. Almonds contain natural oils that will separate when the almonds are ground. There are actually quite a few advantages to runny almond butter (it blends perfectly into smoothies and is great as a drizzly topping on so many foods!).
No. Our all-natural almond butters are made from 100% California almonds. For our classic smooth almond butter, that’s it! No additives, fillers, salts or sugars, and our Cinnamon almond butter adds a pinch of sea salt, cane sugar and cinnamon for a decadent treat!

It definitely can be stored in the fridge, but it does not need to be. If you want perfectly drizzly AB then keep your opened jar in your pantry or on your kitchen counter for easy access. Keep the lid closed on top and your AB will stay good for a really long time. If you don’t open it back up for a few weeks, the oils will naturally separate and you will probably have to stir it back up. If you like your AB thick, then stick it in the fridge after you have stirred it up and it will stay smooth and creamy!
We like to say it’s an old family secret. But in reality, we double grind our almonds to get rid of the grit and leave you with a silky smooth butter your tongue will thank you for.
